Follow up trip to South Africa – Johannesburg to review the production update, visited the stockpiles at Empangeni near Richards Bay port with our mining team and port agents, A brief trip was made inside the port visiting all the berths of RB dry Bulk | Multi-purpose terminal with clear understanding that few berths can only accommodate Panamax loading and rest other berths can accommodate only up to Supramax.

It is to be also noted that loading of vessels is done by grabs ( Skip) using shore cranes & through conveyor system depending on the vessels. The current waiting at anchorage is about 10-25 days and depending on the relationship exporter has with port and accordingly this waiting time can be reduced. Loading at berth at RBDBT & MPT is generally minimum about 6000 MT | day.

Thereafter, we visited India – Delhi & Mumbai to meet the prospective buyers for coal in India and in Singapore.
